The objective of this Report is to review the observable evidence of water-ingress on an IBM z890 Mainframe (‘System’) and ascertain the effects on the System and its operation and function as designed and operated (‘Functionality’). This Report further assesses any deemed risks and concerns in regard to returning the System(s) to operations commensurate with their previous maintenance agreement.

The premise of this Report is not a perceived requirement to prove a System is irreparable. Rather it is deemed that the onus is on the repairer to conclusively demonstrate the System will be returned to operations beyond any and all reasonably unacceptable risk to its sustained Functionality and the operations and business that rely thereupon. This Report will demonstrate that the Systems sustained direct damages and beyond reasonable doubt unobservable (‘latent’) damages, caused by the ingress of water.
